The FRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting the needs of America's first responders in the areas of communications interoperability and data/information preparedness. The FRC represents the broad spectrum of first responders and their "friends and family" -- the communities and individuals served by first responders everyday.

The FRC strives to ensure that decision makers attach a high priority to public safety issues such as access to broadband and advanced communications technologies, spectrum allocation and efficient use, funding, and training. Additionally, the FRC works to foster greater cooperation and coordination between all levels of government, industry, and public safety departments to achieve seamless interoperability and access to cutting edge information technologies. The goal of these efforts is to provide emergency personnel with the tools and resources they need to coordinate an effective response to local, regional and national emergencies.

The First Response Coalition consists of tens of thousands of concerned citizens and first responders, as well as numerous advocacy groups. These organizations have joined our campaign because they understand that when we protect first responders we protect ourselves.
