- All Hazards Consortium
The All Hazards Consortium (AHC) is comprised of stakeholders from government, industry, education and non-profit organizations, and is a partner organization to the First Response Coalition. The AHC’s annual meeting, The Mid-Atlantic Regional All Hazards Forum (AHF), brings together regional government, industry, university, and non-profit organizations to discuss homeland security and emergency management issues, share best practices, build stronger relationships across the region, and improve regional coordination among all stakeholders. The All Hazards Forum report contains regional perspectives, lessons learned, best practices and recommendations from the participating states.
- Satellite Industry Association
The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) is the unified voice of the U.S. satellite industry on policy, regulatory, and legislative issues affecting the satellite business. The SIA's First Responder's Guide to Satellite Communications provides a comprehensive overview and tutorial of satellite technology, including its role in emergency planning and response, with an emphasis on satellite technology as part of the interoperability solution. - 9/11 Public Discourse Project
The ten members of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (known as the 9-11 Commission) have initiated a nationwide public education campaign for the purpose of making America safer and more secure. In so doing, the commissioners will give people throughout America the opportunity to participate in a debate that has been limited largely to those inside the Washington Beltway.

The National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (also known as the 9-11 Commission), an independent, bipartisan commission created by congressional legislation and the signature of President George W. Bush in late 2002, is chartered to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, including preparedness for and the immediate response to the attacks. The Commission is also mandated to provide recommendations designed to guard against future attacks.

Secretary Ridge formally unveiled the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Interoperability and Compatibility that will strengthen the national partnership of local, state, and federal leadership to achieve emergency response interoperability in every community in the country.
- Department of Homeland Security: SAFECOM Program
SAFECOM's mission is to serve as the umbrella program within the Federal Government to help local, tribal, state, and federal public safety agencies improve public safety response through more effective and efficient interoperable wireless communications. Communications interoperability is the ability of public safety agencies to talk across disciplines and jurisdictions via radio communications systems, exchanging voice and/or data with one another on demand, in real time, when authorized.
